Sinossi:
Quando un re potente e folle rade al suolo l’antica Grecia e minaccia di distruggere l’umanità , un giovane ed eroico contadino si solleva contro di lui, in un’emozionante, potente e immortale storia.
Il brutale e sanguinario Re Iperione (Mickey Rourke) e il suo feroce esercito stanno devastando la Grecia, demolendo tutto quello che trovano sul loro cammino con spietata efficienza. I villaggi continuano a cadere di fronte alle legioni di Iperione e ogni vittoria lo porta un passo più avanti verso il suo obiettivo: risvegliare il potere dei Titani per conquistare gli dei dell’Olimpo e tutta l’umanità . Sembra che nulla sia in grado di fermare il malvagio re dal diventare il padrone indiscusso del mondo, fino a quando un semplice uomo di nome Teseo (Henry Cavill) giura di vendicare la morte della madre, avvenuta durante uno degli attacchi di Iperione. Quando Teseo incontra l’Oracolo della Sibilla, Fedra (Freida Pinto), le sue inquietanti visioni sul futuro del giovane la convincono che lui avrà un ruolo fondamentale per fermare questa distruzione. Con il suo aiuto, Teseo mette assieme un piccolo gruppo di seguaci e abbraccia il suo destino in una battaglia finale disperata, in cui è in gioco il futuro dell’umanità .
SYNOPSIS:
Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king's hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man's conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion...until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes...
