Sinossi:

Frank Farmer (Kevin Costner), un ex agente segreto, decide di accettare un nuovo incarico come guardia del corpo, ed aiutare la bellissima e famosa cantante Rachel Marron (Whitney Houston). La donna, infatti, molto ricca e dalla voce meravigliosa, è minacciata di morte, ed ha seri motivi per pensare che non si tratti di un semplice mitomane e teme per la sua incolumità. L'incontro tra Frank e Rachel è inizialmente freddo, molto professionale. Uomo dal cuore grande, ma di poche parole quasi impossibile da penetrare. Ma un giorno la situazione precipita, il team della sicurezza scopre che un folle ammiratore di Rachel è riuscito ad entrar in casa. Frank prende le redini della situazione, stravolge la vita della cantante, ne cambia i ritmi e le abitudini. E non la lascia mai sola. Cominciano piano piano a conoscersi, innescando così un amore celato, latente.

SYNOPSIS:

A former Secret Service agent takes on the job of bodyguard to a pop singer, whose lifestyle is most unlike a President's.

A pop singer has been receiving threatening notes, and her manager hires a bodyguard known for his good work. The bodyguard ruffles the singer's feathers and most of her entourage by tightening security more than they feel is necessary. The bodyguard is haunted by the fact that he was on Reagan's secret service staff but wasn't there to prevent the attack by Hinckley. Eventually the bodyguard and the singer start an affair, and she begins to believe his precautions are necessary when the stalker strikes close to home.
