- The Berlin Film Festival’s international jury, headed by Meryl Streep, will hand out awards to its top competition films on Saturday. Among the 18 films vying for the 66th Berlinale’s Golden Bear are Gianfranco Rosi’s Italian documentary “Fire at Sea”; Michael Grandage’s “Genius,” starring Colin Firth and Jude Law; Mia Hansen-Love’s “Things to Come,” with Isabelle Huppert; Vincent Perez’s World War II tale “Alone in Berlin,” starring Emma Thompson and Brendan Gleeson; and Jeff Nichols’ “Midnight Special,” with Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton. The seven-member jury also includes British actor Clive Owen, German thesp Lars Eidinger, British film critic Nick James; French photographer Brigitte Lacombe; Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher; and Polish filmmaker Malgorzata Szumowska.
