"I delfini vissero inizialmente sulla Terra più di cinquanta milioni di anni fa come abitanti della terra che respirano aria. Sono rimasti incantati dagli oceani del mondo e alla fine si sono evoluti per vivere sotto il mare. Sono i nuotatori più efficienti del mondo, nuotando cinque volte più velocemente dell'uomo più veloce. Il loro cervello è più grande del cervello umano, con una capacità del 40% superiore, rendendoli una delle creature più intelligenti sulla Terra. I delfini sono stati parte della nostra cultura, incorporati nella psiche umana fin dall'inizio dei tempi. Gli antichi greci li hanno raffigurati su monete, salvando i bambini dall'annegamento in mare. Sono famosi per aiutare il pescatore nei momenti di bisogno, salvando gli umani dagli attacchi dei grandi squali bianchi e celebrati in dipinti, sculture e varie forme d'arte in tutto il pianeta. Ma nessuno ha mai parlato con loro e visto il mondo attraverso gli occhi dei delfini ... fino ad ora. Il mio obiettivo è tirare fuori dal mare una storia che non ha mai visto la luce del giorno per mancanza di un narratore. Il mio desiderio è quello di raccontare una storia vera evocando la leggenda dei delfini e il loro messaggio all'umanità tramite uno straordinario viaggio cinematografico attraverso gli oceani di otto angoli del mondo dove i delfini si sono evoluti per vivere ... dai misteriosi delfini rosa del Brasile che sono venuti dalle acque salate del mare fino alla foce del Rio delle Amazzoni per diventare i delfini d'acqua dolce, alle orche del Canada, i più grandi e potenti delfini del mondo, ai delfini comuni del Sud Africa che prosperano su branchi giganti di sardine in una casa condivisa con Great White e Copperhead Sharks, una casa selvaggia per il pericolo e l'eccitazione. I delfini e il loro destino mi hanno sempre affascinato. È tempo di raccontare la leggenda dei delfini. "The dolphins initially lived on Earth more than fifty million years ago as air breathing land dwellers. They became enchanted by the oceans of the world, and eventually evolved to live under the sea. They are the most efficient swimmers in the world, swimming five times faster than the speediest human being. Their brains are larger than the human brain, with a capacity 40% greater, making them one of the most intelligent creatures on Earth. The dolphins have been part of our culture, embedded in the human psyche since the beginning of time. Ancient Greeks have depicted them on coins, saving children from drowning at sea. They are famous for helping fisherman in times of need, saving humans from attacks of the great white sharks, and celebrated in paintings, sculptures and various art forms across the planet. But no one has ever talked to them and seen the world through the eyes of the dolphins... until now. My goal is to pull from the sea a story that has never seen the light of day for want of a teller. My desire is to tell a real story evoking the legend of the dolphins and their message to humanity through an extraordinary cinematic journey through the oceans of eight corners of the world where the dolphins have evolved to live… from the mysterious pink dolphins of Brazil that came from the salty waters of the sea up the mouth of the Amazon River to become freshwater dolphins, to the Orcas of Canada, the largest and most powerful dolphins in the world, to the Common Dolphins of South Africa who thrive on giant shoals of sardines in a home shared with Great White and Copperhead Sharks, a home that is wild with danger and excitement. The dolphins and their destiny have always fascinated me. It is time for the legend of the dolphins to be told.
