Sinossi:
It's Christmas time once again and Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) juggles a full house of family and the mischievous Jack Frost (Martin Short), who is trying to take over the "big guy's" holiday. At the risk of giving away the secret location of the North Pole, Scott invites his in-laws to share in the holiday festivities, and upcoming birth of baby Claus with expectant wife, Carol. Along for the adventure are Scott's extended family, son Charlie, ex-wife Laura Miller, her husband, Neil Miller and their daughter, Lucy who, together with head elf Curtis, foil Jack Frost's crafty scheme to control the North Pole.
Commento critico (a cura di MARTA SBRANA (Canada, USA))
In 1994 we had tons of fun and laughers watching Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) learning how to be Santa Clause, we laughed with him and we were touched by his sweet soul, just like a big teddy bear. In 2002 we found again Scott Calvin who was getting us ready for the Christmas holiday was a nice surprise, just like meet again an old friend who we haven’t see in a long time. So last Friday everybody rushed, full of hope, to the movie theatre to see, for the third times, Scott Calvin/Santa Clause dealing with new adventures. Even if Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause closed in second place at the box office for its first week end, after ten minutes from the beginning of the movie I was asking myself how that was possible. That’s easy the tickets were been sold already and we don’t get our |
money back if we don’t like the film. It was the affection for Tim Allen that drove a whole crowd of families to see the third series of the Santa Clause’s saga. A story kept up by Martin Short’s skill who plays Jack Frost as an evil cross between Liza Minnelli and Liberace, Martin Short is a welcome presence, but this tired series continues drawing from its bag of bland gags and dumb slapstick. Even Tim Allen, now and then, looked tired and bored by his own character.

Elizabeth Weitzman ("New York Daily News")
"…Although the script lacks the sentimental tug of the first film (will kids really care that Santa has in-law issues?), Lembeck packs the screen with adorable details. Better still, Allen and Short seem to be having so much fun that their enthusiasm is entirely contagious. Let the season begin.”
