23/10/2008 - Fortunato Productions presenta ’A MOVIE GLAMOUR TOUR + EXHIBITS’: una visita guidata + due rispettive mostre presso i due laboratori artigiani che hanno fatto storia nel mondo del cinema con la loro produzione di parrucche e cappelli per lo spettacolo. Non c'è film, italiano o straniero, dove le star più famose non abbiano respirato i talchi delle magiche acconciature di Rocchetti&Rocchetti (*) o indossato un cappello di Pieroni (**): accessori essenziali come la stessa pellicola del film. Le due aziende aprono in via totalmente esclusiva le loro porte in occasione del Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma 2008. Si potrà osservare come si realizza una parrucca o un copricapo, dal bozzetto del costumista all'opera finita, attraverso operazioni manuali che si ripetono identiche da decenni. Da quasi un secolo le arti pregiate e i segreti di manifattura vengono tramandati pazientemente da famiglie intere di parrucchieri e cappellai. Un mondo magico fatto di mani sapienti, sacrifici e meticolosità. Dai loro laboratori, la loro maestria ha trovato un riscontro mondiale ed un apprezzamento che ha portato loro premi e riconoscimenti internazionali. Finalmente si potranno osservare da vicino questi tesori nel loro splendore più inatteso, lasciandosi incantare e trasportare da mille emozioni, in un percorso fatto di polvere di stelle. (*) ROCCHETTI PARRUCCHE Il nome Rocchetti esiste nella storia dello spettacolo italiano sin dal lontano 1874. Nei primi anni del novecento diviene fornitore ufficiale di parrucche e responsabile del trucco del Regio Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. A partire dagli anni '50 il nome Rocchetti si afferma con fama e lustro nel mondo del cinema ed otteniene innumerevoli premi tra cui Accademy ed Emmy Awards, Nastri d'Argento e riconoscimenti per "Una Vita per il Cinema" e "La Chioma di Berenice".

(**) PIERONI CAPPELLI L'attività nasce intorno agli anni '40 con il Sig. Bruno Pieroni che realizza i "Caroselli" delle forze armate, che ancora si ripetono ogni anno in occasione della Festa del Corpo dello Stato. Arriva poi il Carosello della Guardia Palatina, e si confezionano copricapi e buffetteria per i soldati del Papa. E' grazie alle collaborazioni con le storiche Sartorie cine-teatrali romane, e per le grandi firme del costume, che la ditta Pieroni è oggi internazionalmente nota e premiata con riconoscimenti e Premi Oscar.

A Movie Glamour Tour + Exhibits - by 'Fortunato Productions' - is a guided tour that incorporates two exhibitions. During visits to two artisan workshops, you will experience the history of the creation of wigs and hats for classic Italian cinema. The craft of costume has been indispensable to the story of film and entertainment. Countless Italian and foreign films have been made in which famous film stars breathe in the talcum powder of a magical Rocchetti wig (*), or wear a striking Pieroni hat (**). Such accessories are essential to costume, playing a vital role in the authenticity of a movie. The Rocchetti and Pieroni workshops will open their doors exclusively on the occasion of the 2008 Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma. You will learn how wigs and hats are created, beginning with the original sketch by the costume designer through to the completion of the final product. The artistry and craftsmanship have been perfected over the decades. For more then a century the intricate art and manufacturing secrets of these craftsmen have been meticulously handed down through generations of hair designers and milliners. With expert precision, patience, and dedication, a world of magic has been created. These artists and their workshops have been greeted with wordwide success and appreciation. International recognition includes numerous prizes and awards. At last, you can, enjoy and admire these treasures up close, shown in unexpected splendor. These two enchanting exhibitions will guide you through a world of fantasy and beauty, examining the dreams that were made from stardust.

Event exclusively by reservation: Ticket € 8,00. The tour includes visits to the Rocchetti and Pieroni studios. (*) ROCCHETTI WIGS. The name Rocchetti first appears in the history of the Italian entertainment business back in the 1874. By the early 1900's, Rocchetti had become the official supplier of wigs as well as responsible for make-up for the Regio Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. By 1950, Rocchetti was an established icon in the film industry. His prestigious awards include both Academy and Emmy awards, along with prizes for "Una vita per il cinema", "La Chioma di Berenice", and "Nastri d'Argento".

(**) PIERONI HATS. Bruno Pieroni opened his business during the 1940's. He created the "Caroselli" (wearable armaments) for the Italian army, still worn today at the State Army Festival. Later, Pieroni designed the "carosello" for the Palatine Guards. He made hats and buffetteria for the Soldiers of the Pope. Through his collaborations with historical tailors, Roman theatre and his close affiliations with respected costume designers from the film world, Pieroni is internationally recognized and admired. He has been presented many awards for his achievements, including several Oscars.
