ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA (5 aprile 2019) – Le star di Avengers: Endgame hanno visitato Disneyland Resort per lanciare Avengers Universe Unites, un evento di beneficenza per supportare Disney Team of Heroes (iniziativa filantropica di The Walt Disney Company) volto a dare conforto e sostegno a bambini gravemente malati di tutto il mondo.
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd e Brie Larson hanno visitato il Disney California Adventure Park per celebrare la donazione di oltre 5 milioni di dollari ad associazioni no profit che aiutano bambini gravemente malati e la somma di un milione di dollari donati da Disney a favore della Starlight Children’s Foundation. The LEGO Group, Hasbro, Funko e Amazon hanno devoluto complessivamente oltre 4 milioni di dollari sotto forma di giocattoli e prodotti dedicati al nuovo film Avengers: Endgame. Giocattoli che verranno donati a centinaia di ospedali pediatrici di tutto il Paese, oltre a Give Kids the World, un resort no profit della Florida centrale.
“I supereroi della saga degli Avengers incarnano tratti distintivi come coraggio, perseveranza, audacia e speranza – le stesse caratteristiche che mostrano gli innumerevoli bambini e le loro famiglie costretti a stare in ospedale”, ha detto Robert A. Iger, chairman e CEO di The Walt Disney Company, che si è unito all’inizio della celebrazione. “Siamo grati al cast degli Avengers per averci donato il loro tempo ed essere parte di questo sforzo per risollevare gli animi e dare conforto ai bambini durante un momento difficile”.
Le star di Avengers si sono uniti ai bambini del Anaheim Boys & Girls Clubs of America e Garden Grove nel LEGO Store di Downtown Disney per creare insieme la più grande costruzione di LEGO® mai realizzata. Inoltre, hanno avuto l’occasione di visitare il Treasure Truck di Amazon pieno di giocattoli del film Avengers: Endgame, tra cui action figures Hasbro, robot di Iron Man MK50 targati UBTECH e Funko POP! in vinile.
