- Tom Hanks has some trouble with the limelight in the first trailer for Warner Bros.' Sully. The film, directed by Clint Eastwood and set to hit theaters Sept. 9, revisits the "Miracle on the Hudson," when American pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who landed U.S. Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River in 2009. After the publicized event, Sully was heralded in the media as a hero while an investigation began that threatened his career. Jamey Sheridan, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney also star in the Todd Komarnicki-written pic. Eastwood, Stewart, Marshall and Tim Moore are producing.
