- HARRISON FORD, KAREN ALLEN, GEORGE LUCAS, KATHLEEN KENNEDY e FRANK MARSHALL sono volati in GIAPPONE per promuovere INDIANA JONES E IL REGNO DEL TESCHIO DI CRISTALLO. (…) Durante la conferenza stampa a Tokyo (…) HARRISON FORD e GEORGE LUCAS non hanno proprio potuto resistere alla tentazione di inscenare una piccola burla estemporanea.
‘IL REGNO DI CRISTALLO’ apre a Tokyo il 14 GIUGNO e nel resto del GIAPPONE il 21 GIUGNO.

Durante la Conferenza stampa HARRISON FORD ha dichiarato che la serie delle Avventure di INDIANA JONES ha avuto un riscontro di pubblico ‘sfacciato’: “Non c’è serie di film che io abbia fatto in cui abbia lo stesso spirito e che abbia ottenuto un così sfacciato riscontro di pubblico – non tanto per compiacerlo, ma per essere in grado di offrire una ‘eccitante cavalcata’”.
GEORGE LUCAS ha raccontato di quanto il cast fosse eccitato quando FORD è tornato ad indossare i panni di Indy nell’ultimo film: “Sembra succedere la stessa cosa in ogni film, in ogni film di Indiana Jones che facciamo. C’è sempre il magico momento in cui HARRISON appare sul set nella sua ‘mise’ e indossa il suo cappello. E’ giusto quello che trasporta ognuno in un posto magico. Non so perché. Persino in ‘Star Wars’ non abbiamo una figura iconica tale da generare lo stesso effetto”.

Entrambi, FORD e GEORGE LUCAS hanno ripetuto di avere l’intenzione di aprirsi alla possibilità di realizzare un altro episodio della Serie, sebbene non abbiano ancora deciso i dettagli.

FORD ha detto che la saga di INDIANA JONES, della quale l’ultimo episodio risale a diciannove anni fa, lo eccita ancora come “la mattina di Natale… Interpretarlo mi dà ogni volta la sensazione di essere in procinto di andare a giocare con una cornucopia di nuovi giocattoli. Sono stato così eccitato all’idea di una nuova opportunità”. Ha detto in riferimento al nuovo film.

Il film ha ottenuto un enorme successo mondiale, con 313 milioni di dollari solo all’uscita nel primo weekend, aggiudicandosi il miglior debutto di quest’anno.
Alla richiesta di quale messaggio darebbe a INDIANA JONES, dopo aver riflettuto un secondo con sguardo serio, FORD ha risposto così: “Gli ricorderei di quanto sia fortunato nell’essere così intelligente e perseverante, oltre che circondato da amici preziosi”.

GEORGE LUCAS said the entire cast was excited when FORD put the Indy costume back on for the latest film. "It seems to happen on every movie, every Indiana Jones movie we do.
